3rd Art Lesson of Kooool Drawing!
At my Art lesson today, we did quite a few interesting things. One of my most favourite things done on that lesson was painting with ink using a wood piece of stick that was cut into a quill-like pen. What we did first was to look at Miss Hampton doing a drawing. She took a teddy bear called Yumi and she showed us using a charcoal pencil to draw on the piece of big A3 paper what we can see from our view. She explained that we don’t just draw the outline, we slowly cut in and out around the shapes doing interesting sketches and some details being add onto. It turned out that Miss Hampton did a beautiful drawing of Yumi bear and a wonderful explanation. It then was our turn (the class) to choose a toy animal which there was a lot. (e.g. dogs like huskies, there are cats, cute teddy bears and other animals) Also while she came across the desks, she told us how to hold the charcoals and not drop them so they don’t break because they are pretty precious. J I drew two pictures of a dog and one of them was pretty good and I liked it. Then later, we had to start another drawing. Miss Hampton drew another of her example to show to us. This time, she used a wood that was cut into like a quill shape! She used it and drew Yumi bear on the side view. It was brilliant watching her draw. The wood that she used to draw flowed so smoothly like a real beautiful ink pen. It was much more detailed than the drawing she used the charcoal pencil. It was our turn to do it. My drawing took ages and I tried to do it as best as possible. When I finished my drawing, I thought it looked quite a bit weird and not very good but it turned out surprisingly that Miss Hampton said it was excellent. She brought my art work to another class to have a look at it and everyone complimented it wonderfully which made me a embarrassed, but still I think I can do better. Anyway, I felt great that lesson also one thing that I felt that I did right was that I drew the dog from the view that I was looking at!
